PHOENIX (ABC 4 News) - A Delta flight on its way from Phoenix to Salt Lake City experienced cabin pressure loss and made an emergency landing on Monday morning.

According to KNXV in Phoenix, the Delta 1232 took off at 8:40 a.m. MST from Sky Harbor Airport, when it hit a flock of birds.

The plane landed at around 10:00 a.m. after a Federal Aviation Administration official said the plane had traveled "a considerable distance" from the airport.

After the bird strike, the plane made a quick return and emergency landing at Sky Harbor.

At least one hole could be seen on the outside of the MD-90 just above the cockpit as it sat on the tarmac after landing.

A Delta spokesperson said there were 132 people on board, including 5 crew members. There were no injuries.
