AAA predicts rise in Utah holiday travel

SALT LAKE CITY, UT (ABC 4 News) - Even with the current recession, holiday travel is expected to go up for Thanksgiving weekend. A AAA survey predicts more than 2 1/2 million people in Utah and surrounding states plan to "travel" at least 50-miles next weekend. That's up only 0.3% from last year, but is still an increase. And although air travel in this area is down 8%, car travel this weekend is expected to increase by 1.2%.
